BOBBIE THOMAS

When Bobbie Thomas says she’s a “professional girlfriend at your service,” she really means it. She stops women on the street to compliment their outfits. She can tell you how to style a full, shiny ponytail in minutes. She'll show you how to remove a fake tan, and layer your skincare products for optimal results—all without batting one of her expertly-applied lashes. (She can show you how to do that, too.) You've probably seen her do all of the above during one of her 600 (and counting)  Bobbie's Buzz segments on The TODAY Show over the past TK years, but she lives the #progirl ethos in her off-camera life, too.

Born in Rhode Island and raised in Los Angeles, Bobbie's career path has been anything but typical. Her decades in the fashion and beauty industry only came after working as a rape crisis counselor (while also pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy). That experience helped cement her belief that beauty comes from the strength within each of us. She loved the work, but was eager to find a bigger platform where she could encourage self-esteem and confidence in women and girls.

While crashing on the couch of one of her sister's friends in Los Angeles, she was introduced to a guy in a boy band, who in turn brought her along to a photoshoot that would alter the course of her career. To make a very long story short, that's how she ended up writing a nationally syndicated column for J-14 and In Touch magazines, co-hosting the Style Network's Fashion Police, working the red carpet for E!, and eventually penning an entire book about what she’s learned, The Power of Style.

Today, Bobbie uses the platform of Bobbie's Buzz as well as her widely followed social media channels to share all the latest discoveries on her radar that are new, innovative and stylish.

Bobbie.com is the home base for Bobbie and her team, where they can share even more first-hand knowledge, answer those Frequently Asked Questions and create an archive of Bobbie’s holy grail of product recommendations and tips.
